Time to make a walk meeting plan!

Wellness grant (Friskvårdsbidrag)

Something that the vast majority of employers offer their employees. It can be a sum per year for different types of wellness and/or time for training during working hours. It is a very good benefit, but as much as 41% of all workers do not use the grant.

What can be done about it?

Employers can make it easy for employees to use their wellness grant by informing them of how to do it and why it is important. But there will still be a large percentage who either do not use it at all. Or who buy a membership that they do not use but still feel that they have used the wellness grant itself.
Training time during working hours can also help, but also does not always work for everyone.

Encourage movement during work.

Another way of thinking is to encourage movement during work, for example by taking regular walking meetings.
The advantage of a walking meeting is that the work gets done, which in turn means that you don’t have to feel stressed about working time being used for exercise. Time you need to make up after the training session.

Make a walking meeting plan

It’s as simple as going through the week’s meetings and seeing which ones you can do while walking. If you are going to have a conversation with a colleague, suggest that you do it while walking together or in different places. If you have a meeting where you need to get information, ask to connect online and listen while you go. By encouraging walking meetings, you move together while the work gets done.
